A brave display of raw emotions that challenges you to look deeply at your own experiences and write down what you see. A great tool to help those who need to overcome obstacles, abuses and trauma to move forward.
Judy’s easy to read book addresses experiences and feelings that we’ve had and felt at one point or another in our lives but didn’t know how to deal with. It provides us with the tools necessary to best process those feelings and experiences that hold us back and and how to put some of them away on a shelf and move on.. Judy, thank you for being brave enough to open up your heart to your readers in order to help them/us grow and benefit from your wisdom.
I have been studying the bible for 40 years now and have researched my head off to understand all the hidden gems. But physical (and mental) healing has at various times, been a major problem for me. But after reading Judy's book, I realized that there are a large amount of reasons that hold us all back from healing. And it certainly isn't our Father God, or his son Jesus Christ, that doesn't want us to heal! It has more to do with the way we think. And the way that we were brought up. All the negativity that nests in our brains from our earlier days must be dealt with. And not only does Judy expose these facts in this remarkable and impressive book, but she also shows us countless ways to confront ourselves and our negative thoughts head-on, and get rid of years of self-doubt and disparagement, and ultimately, to speed up the healing process. Not to mention making sure that the negativity never returns again! Thanks Judy for this amazing work of art!
There's a saying that God can heal all hearts, but first you have to give Him the pieces. Written from the heart, this book guides the reader in doing just that. Judy's approach may seem deceptively simple, but the reader can expect awesome results.
I was going through a lot and the tools/methods in this book were exactly what I needed to overcome the pain and feel not only normal, but actually happy again. I also love the workbook-style of this book because it helped put things into perspective as I did the exercises. I would highly suggest this to anyone (of all ages) going through a difficult time and who are looking for "a way back" to being able to really smile and laugh again.
Judy has authentically displayed true vulnerability and authenticity in Restoring the Wounded Soul. I commend her courage for sharing her story and honor her wisdom and appreciate the practical ways that everyone can find their way to the path of healing. Thank you Judy for sharing your story of immense challenges turned into courage, healing, love and light.
This book is helpful for current traumas too besides traumas from the past. I loved jotting down my thoughts on the pages after each chapter. I highly recommend this book for people who wish to have a better life, a new way of living, freedom from their bondage.
Restoring the Wounded Soul gives guidance to those suffering with past hurts. Judy is transparent and honest as she shares her own journey of healing, and offers practical help to those who suffer with emotional pain. At the end of each chapter, there is opportunity for reflection and journaling. Judy is an excellent communicator; her ideas and suggestions are simple and easy to follow....This book gives hope and encouragement!
DFHS Therapy is a method of healing. With the rhythm of dealing, feeling, healing and, sealing. It’s simple but yet grueling hard work to gut out the pain from the past to be set free. Everyone that has gone through it can testify how hard it is, and how great it is to be freed from bondage.
